Delgado selected to play in NJCAA All-Star Game, Stratton named All Star Game Coach
NJCAA National Player of the Year Alejandro Delgado (Haverhill) and NJCAA National Coach of the Year Darren Stratton of the national championship winning Northern Essex Community College men’s basketball team have been selected for the 16th annual NJCAA Coaches Association All Star Game.

The national champion Northern Essex Community College men’s basketball team has made it a clean sweep of the end of season awards as the NJCAA has announced Alejandro Delgado as National Player of the Year and head coach Darren Stratton as National Coach of the Year.

Alejandro Delgado of the national champion Northern Essex Community College men’s basketball team has been selected to the NJCAA All-America First Team as selected today by the NJCAA Basketball Committee.

With the game tied at 50 with 5:09 remaining in the second half the top seeded Northern Essex Community College men’s basketball team outscored the Richland Thunderducks 18-12 and secured the first national championship in the college’s history by a 68-62 final score.
