Maci Abbatessa as she captured the NJCAA national title in the women’s shot put on her final throw with a toss of 10.69 meter in wet conditions to put herself of the runner-up by .01 meters.
At the CCSU Invitational, the Knights closed out their regular season with a strong showing, highlighted by multiple personal and season bests along with four additional NJCAA national qualifying marks, bringing their season total to 14.

The Northern Essex Community College track and field competed at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational at Fitchburg State on Saturday afternoon and saw several strong early season performances.
