The Northern Essex Community College softball team was recently featured in both the Newburyport Daily News and Eagle-Tribune newspapers on what was supposed to be the teams return to the field and varsity competition before the season was halted as COVID-19 put an abrupt end, not only to the NECC season but to all of college sports seasons for the spring 2020 season.
Dave Dyer spoke with coach Haeli Campbell on the disappointment of not getting on the field this year, but her hopes on continuing to move the program forward.
