Haverhill, MA (September 16, 2025) – The Northern Essex Community College volleyball team dropped a three-set match to Massasoit on Tuesday evening at the Sport and Fitness Center. The loss dropped the Knights record to 1-3 on the young season. The first set went extra points with Massasoit taking the open set 30-28, before taking the next two sets 25-12 and 25-21.

Cherly Brito Rosario (Lawrence) led the Knights on both sides of the net with the 11 kills and nine digs while serving up five aces.

Rachelle Torres (Lawrence) handed out 18 assists while also grabbing nine digs of her own.

Faith Martin (Billerica) and Santa DeLeon (Lawrence) combined to contribute nine kills and 12 digs.

For the match, the Knights hit at .117 compared to .205 for Massasoit,

NECC will return to the court on Thursday when they host Roxbury at 6:00pm at the Sport and Fitness Center on the Haverhill campus.
