Four from volleyball recognized with All-Region honors

Haverhill, MA (November 10, 2025) – Four members of the Northern Essex Community College women's volleyball team were recognized with All-Regions honors as voted on by the region coaches. The four honorees were highlighted by Cherly BritoRosario (Lawrence) being named to the All-Region First Team.

BritoRosario was joined by three of her teammates who earned Honorable Mention recognition in Faith Martin (Billerica), Santa DeLeon (Lawrence) and Rachelle Torres (Lawrence).

For BritoRosario, its her second all-region selections as she earned second team honors a season ago. This season she led the team with 173 kills on the season which ranked as fourth best in the region for total kills and averaged 2.58 kills per set. She also led the team in Service aces with 58 and digs with 215.

The trio of first year honorable mention selections helped lead the Knights back to the post-season for an eighth consecutive season before falling in the semi-finals.

Torres was the team leader in assists with 254 as she and BritoRosario shared the setting duties for the Knights. She also contributed 53 service aces to go along with 150 digs. Deleon contributed 129 kills which finished second on the team in that category and also had 163 digs. Martin rounds out the honorees with as she served up 48 aces, while contributing 118 digs and 77 kills on the season.

The Knights finished the season with a 12-8 overall record under the direction of first year head coach Yemayma Molin.
