#7 Knights work overtime to defeat Quincy, 92-87

Haverhill, MA (December 6, 2025) – Cristian Moscat (Lawrence) scored a game tying basket with 19 seconds remaining in regulation on Saturday afternoon to force overtime as the #7 nationally ranked Northern Essex Community College men's basketball defeated Quincy College in overtime by a 92-87 final score. The win was the Knights ninth in a row as they improve to 13-2 on the season and 6-1 in conference play.

The Knights who never led during regulation took their first lead over the game 23 seconds into the overtime period on a three-point basket by Alejandro Delgado (Haverhill) who scored 10 of the Knights 12 points in overtime as part of his near triple-double performance of 18 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists.

Christian Sanders (Boston) added a double-double performance of his own 29th 22 points and 12 rebounds. Moscat joined in double figures with 16 points of his own while also grabbing four steals in the contest.

NECC trailed 41-27 at the halftime break before outscoring the Granite 43-39 in the second half.

The Knights will return home on Tuesday Knights when they welcome Community College of Rhode Island to the Sport and Fitness Center for a 7:30pm tip.
