Knights take down Bunker Hill, 3-2

Boston, MA (October 19, 2025) – The Northern Essex Community College men's soccer team rallied from a pair of one goal deficits on Saturday afternoon to defeat Bunker Hill in a region showdown, as the Knights are now just one point shy of securing the post-season tournaments top seed for a third consecutive season. The win improves the Knights record to 6-1 in conference and 9-3-1 overall.

Bunker Hill would take leads of 1-0 and 2-1 but the Knights would respond with a pair of penalty kick goals as they had players taken down in the on two separate occasions inside the box. Christian Colem (Nashua, NH) converted the first penalty in the 37th minute to equalize the score at one where it would stand for the remainder of the first half.

After BHCC took a quick lead in the second half, Gabriel DosReis (Somerville) took a feed down the right side into the box where he was taken down the Bulldogs goalie and allowed Sotir Agalliu (Manchester, NH) to convert a penalty and even the score in the 57th minute.

Maxim Chriss (Lexington) delivered the game winner in the 69th minute when he sent a direct kick from 23 yards out off the cross bar and into the goal.

Dylan Gavin (Methuen) recorded four saves in net to pick up the victory in goal.

The Knights will conclude the regular season on Tuesday evening when they host Springfield Tech at 7:00pm at Whittier Tech. A win or tie against the Rams would secure the top seed, first round bye and homefield throughout in the upcoming post-season tournament for NECC.
